RigCheck
A free, read-only checkup for Windows gaming PCs with NVIDIA, AMD or Intel hardware. It finds settings that cost you performance and estimates what fixing each one is worth.
Run it
- Close your games.
- Right-click the Start button and open Terminal (or Windows PowerShell). Admin isn't needed.
- Paste this and press Enter:
irm https://rigcheck.narrowlake.dev/run | iexThe scan takes about 20 seconds. Afterwards it asks whether to upload the report. If you say yes, you get a link to share and a before/after comparison the next time you run it.
What it checks
- CPU and power: BIOS age, AMD chipset driver, X3D cache driver, Intel 13th/14th gen microcode, power plan and processor limits.
- Memory: XMP/EXPO, dual channel, mixed kits, capacity, AMD memory controller ratio.
- Graphics card: driver, PCIe link, Resizable BAR, power limit, GPU scheduling, monitor plugged into the motherboard.
- Display, Windows, storage, network: refresh rate, Game Mode, background recording, Memory Integrity, SSD health and space, Ethernet speed and Wi-Fi signal.
- Background apps: startup apps, multiple screen recorders, RGB suites and idle CPU use.
Privacy
- Nothing on your PC is changed. The script only reads settings. Read the script before you run it.
- A report is saved to your Desktop either way. Uploading is optional, and the script asks first every time.
- An upload contains your hardware summary, the findings and an anonymous machine ID (a one-way hash, used only to match your scans for the before/after view). Your Windows user name and PC name are removed before sending.
- Reports can only be opened with their link, which can't be guessed.

Download rigcheck.ps1 and RigCheck.bat into the same folder, then double-click RigCheck.bat.
FPS estimates are typical ranges from published benchmarks, not a measurement of your PC. Some of the biggest factors, such as temperatures under load and in-game settings, aren't checked.
